Iron Mountain wants $7k to destroy our boxes that are over 10 years old. There is a big fee for us to physically remove and destroy them ourselves. It is frustrating trying to come up with a solution. We do not send any more boxes nor do we use them to retrieve boxes because of their outrageous fees for doing these things. We are sick of giving them 200/month hostage money for holding boxes... Read more

If you have service with this company alway make sure you right down services you get from them and write down the time because they like to charges customers for something didnt get. Iron Mountain is a COMPLETE rip off. You can get yourself a storage unit (even a climate controlled one) for a fraction of the price. I don't mind that they charge a fee for pulling your things from storage, or even putting them back once you're done - it's the UNREASONABLE fee to NOT put things back into storage that boggles my brain. I refuse to pay EXTRA money, per box, to NOT put it back... Read more

Iron Mountain billed our company for an EMPTY storage unit for about 15 years although the invoices looked like there was something being stored. A former employee retrieved some boxes and because they did not complete an additional step of requesting the account closed, we were billed for nothing for 15 years. No current employees were aware of the retrieval so did not know any different. Does... Read more

We are a civil rights law firm going through the same problems. We have been with Iron Mountain for 10 years and decided to destroy boxes and remove the remaining to another site. They are charging us over $12K for destruction and removal! They are also penalizing us for "early withdrawal" of over $2K (early withdrawal? we've been with them for over 10 years!). At first the representative Matt... Read more

Iron Mountain archive storage is the most irritating company I've ever dealt with. They charge to store boxes, charge to retrieve, charge to deliver, charge to replace, charge to "permanently withdraw" charge to destroy and then charge to stop charging. They charged me for years for boxes they ultimately couldn't find and then wanted to charge me for deleting them from their records. ... Read more

Iron Mountain Record Storage is a complete rip off. Do not use there Services. You will be lied to on how much and what you will be charged for. They hide things from you in there contract. You will pay extreme fees to get your records back if you ever decide to quit the service with them. We paid to the tune of 10k to get back 1200 file boxes. DO NOT DO Business with them..We have been nickled... Read more
